839116 2009-12-13 04:45:00 Students face fine for selling Xmas trees:

www.newstalkzb.co.nz

tvnz.co.nz

Now i'm assuming the fine was for putting up a Unauthorised Sign at their house OR is it actually illegal to sell the trees?

What's up with those Franklin Road residents anyway. What kind of families live there? Anyone got any pics? I just want to see what sort of people complained about this.

Nice offer C. If you're quick you might get there and back by Christmas.

839121 2009-12-13 08:53:00 Its disgusting that people would complain about people selling xmas tree sales in their street.
What pathetic scum. What we need is name and shame by the media start beating on their doors so the rest of Nouvelle Zealande can see their faces.
The media should out these people put down the tiger woods stories we are sick to death of them.

839124 2009-12-14 08:40:00 What kind of families live there?

The kind with a passed-her-use-by-date-mother, a self-important father, he probably preaches on Sundays and has a bit on the side, the kids have long left home, there's nothing left to fuss over, other than the aphids out back and the Christmas lights out front. The residents are pining for a 'best street award' - the sort of thing that was handed out in the 70's, but everyone has since moved on and nowadays no-one gives a toss.

But being next to the 'party strip' they are kept busy day and night complaining about car noise, party noise, pub noise, bird noise, walkers noise, breathing noise and the noise of the noise control wardens revving their engines trying to get away from a god-awful perfect little street. Although it is only a quick stroll to get that half strength decaf trim soy latte in a bowl, with just enough froth to be aesthetically pleasing, but not so much to leave a moustache.

Other than that it's ok, especially at Christmas time when the lights are up. Except half of greater Auckland, Northland and Hamilton cruise up and down Franklin Road to gawk at the Christmas lights each year - it's not as if you see lights every day. Does that help?
