| 1125169 | 2010-08-07 03:30:00 | this old laptop has a dual modem and LAN socket in one. however installing xp will only find the modem there is NO networking icon or ablity to add a LAN, the downloaded drivers only contain the inf cat and sys files but no installer. any ideas how to get the LAN to work? |

| 1125170 | 2010-08-07 03:44:00 | Thats all you need (is the inf files). If the LAN appears in device manager, double click on its entry, driver tab / update driver. Point it to the folder the inf file is in, then it'll load the drivers / information thats needed | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
