1125171 2010-08-07 03:19:00 Hi;

I am considering purchasing an AOC 2436VWH monitor.

It has HDMI and 1080p resolution.

Primary purpose apart from normal PC activities is DVDs and Bluray. I have both drives in my computer

My question is: If I attach a Freeview HD set top box to it, will that work. Freeview does not receive 1080P.

:thanks

1125172 2010-08-07 03:33:00 Should do, the monitor should scale whatever picture is given to it to a higher res, and while it won't be as good as full 1080p, it'll work quite nicely if the initial res is 720p or 1080i. 8ftmetalhaed (14526)
1125173 2010-08-07 03:40:00 If the monitor supports HD (it prob does, since the res is 1920*1080), and the box is HD then it'll be HD. Unless its Freeview satellite Speedy Gonzales (78)
1125174 2010-08-07 04:12:00 Remembering that the freeview box will have to include a DVI or HDMI cable. PCT Joe (15018)
1125175 2010-09-15 08:14:00 Hi,

I now have an AOC 2436VWH monitor, works well with freeview.

But, having problem with my computer.

My OS is Win 7 and my graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD4350.

It works on full HD but does not fill the whole screen. There is a 20cm border around it.

Any ideas how to fill the whole screen?

Thanks

1125176 2010-09-15 10:46:00 Turn off overscan? or something like that SoniKalien (792)
1125177 2010-09-15 10:47:00 The option will be in CCC somewhere. Have you installed the latest version of the ATI drivers?? 9.6 may have been the last version to have the overscan option Speedy Gonzales (78)
1125178 2010-09-15 22:04:00 I just bought a Samsunng P2370HD 23" monitor full HD with built-in freeview for $470 inc from PB Tech - why bother with a set top box... :)

Has HDMI and full range of other inputs.

1125179 2010-09-17 22:20:00 Hi

I have downloaded and installed the latest driver 8.771.0.0000

The desktop mode is set as 1080p@60hz

However, it has not resolved the problem

1125180 2010-09-17 22:23:00 Umm 10.9 is the latest version of the drivers which just came out not 8.7. If you can get teamviewer, then send the ID and pw to me in a PM, I can check it out Speedy Gonzales (78)
