| 1125106 | 2010-08-06 23:57:00 | I am using Windows 7 with Outlook 2007 for emailing. Two problems with the Contacts list:- 1. I look in Contacts and find someone who I know is there is not listed. If I try emailing them, the name pops up after entering a few characters (as it should). But why wasn't he in the list? 2. I have made a typing error when entering a new email address. I have later corrected it, but the wrong one keeps popping up. Sometimes on its own, sometimes both versions for me to make a choice. Why won't it delete properly? |

| 1125109 | 2010-08-07 01:03:00 | The emails/names that drop down when you start typing all called nicknames. These are stored in a seperate file to your actual contacts, emails, tasks etc, which are in the PST file. It should not be used as a contact list as it can become corrupt. It is advisable to actually add people to your contacts as well. If there are incorrect/old entries on the list just use the down arrow key to highlight the one you want to get rid of and press the DEL key. |
