I have a son who has bought a refurbished PC with XP Pro. I added a brand new DLink Wireless N USB receiver for the home wireless network and all was good. Then he deleted some software a fortnight after buying the computer and the whole system crashed. I ended up reformatting and reloading the whole operating system and starting over. The software for the wireless receiver loaded as per the previous time, but wont pick up any signals at all now. There are various wireless networks in our immediate neighbourhood and other computers in the house work on our network. Have tried reinstalling the DLink software but we're getting nowhere. Any ideas? |

Is SP3 installed? Whats it say for the wireless adapter in device manager? |

SP3 - no it won't be. I was waiting for a connection to download it. I'll get it via another connection in the house and try that... He's asleep with the computer right now (Nite shifter) so I can't check anything at the mo! Cheers |
