1124627 2010-08-04 11:23:00 In Outlook, I have available a virtual folder called "unread messages", that gathers together all the unread messages in one place, irrespective of their actual folder location.

I have been trying to do this in Thunderbird, without success. I know you can list all the folders with unread messages under favorites, but that is not quite the same thing.

Am I missing something obvious, or is this not do-able in Thunderbird?

TIA

1124629 2010-08-04 23:09:00 Thanks for that. I posted the question to help a friend of mine, and I don't use T-bird. What is the process in Thunderbird to create a search folder? Tony (4941)
1124630 2010-08-05 00:27:00 Rt-clk on a folder -> search
For search terms use "Status" "isn't" "Read"
click save as search folder
Choose where to save & what folders to look in.

1124631 2010-08-05 00:28:00 Thanks - I'll get her to give it a go. Tony (4941)
1124632 2010-08-05 04:44:00 That seems to have done the trick - she can now look at her > 200 (!!) unread emails all in one place.

Thanks again for the help.
