| 840301 | 2009-12-16 19:56:00 | Any suggestions on how to download a Discovery Channel video like: watch.discoverychannel.ca and save as an AVI or other media file? Would even pay for an application! Many thanks |

You could try some of these www.google.co.nz FLV downloaders, one might work. You can convert to AVI after you have downloaded it. :) |

BTW Undignified, complicated, inefficient, expensive and distasteful - these criticisms are about the what we now call a normal bicycle on its introduction in 1885. Check out www.yikebike.com |

The trial version is fully functional but puts a logo right in the middle of the screen, the pay for version is excellent, and not too expensive. Edit: I suppose buffering pauses could be a pain, but so far it hasn't happened to me. |

A lot of stuff on Discovery NA is not ever shown on Discovery AU. Discovery AU is a mishmash of what is shown in the US where Discovery has more channels and content we never see here.. |

Then if you want it you just click on the icon and choose the file to download. Simple and easy. No watermarks IIRC. Will check out what it's called when I get home tonight. |
