| 841753 | 2009-12-23 10:02:00 | Sometimes .............. i wonder if this is a stupid idea. :stare: The more serious i get about things in my life and sorting it out, the more people stare at me in wonder or laugh...... I have been trying to get rid of excess baggage, furniture and general crap you sometimes accumulate in life... and items via trademe and be less stressed about money, and the junk sitting in my shed...:p and such by doing this, and look at changing vehicels seemed to be the next step.... I am one person, i need one car / vehicle. i only have one income........ and lots of outgoings....... 2 cars, 2 insurances, 2 running costs, 2 places to park, and lock them away, and thats only the vehicles cost ......theres other bills of life as well. :D is this so wrong? :stare: beetle |

My brothers-in-law (2) each have an Estima - one for carrying his three kids and SWMBO plus five bikes and luggage, the other for carrying his blokarts around the country to events. Nice to drive, but pretty big and heavy and quite thirsty - I imagine on a par with your Jeep. They sit very solid on the road and nice and high so give a good view. There is a 4WD variant I believe... Being a Toyota, means they pretty much go forever and cost very little maintenance-wise (relatively-speaking) while doing so. | johcar (6283) | ||

Forget the 4wd stuff. Obviously you are wanting to lower your out goings, getting another 4wd wont do that, be that a rav4 or anything else. |

| 841757 | 2009-12-23 19:29:00 | Yes Thats why i asked here, because generally you get good help here no matter what the question is....:D and yes i am thinking of not getting 4x4, But my driving experience is (owned vehicles ) is limited to the Jeep which i rate as my fav, a 2wd Nissan navara doublecab, a toyota corolla, and my fiat bambina, and now the demio, and a toyota starlet........... and before that i had a motorbike, (had my bike licence longer than my car one! ) lol so this will be my first sole purchase ...... being my choice and i want to get it right and not stuff up, and be unhappy with the choice i make, so im asking for input. I have 2 vehicles to trade or sell, this will be the first time i will be not paying cash and not buying a car over $20 grand as before....lol beetle:) |

| 841762 | 2009-12-23 21:58:00 | Yeah well thats been put on hold for the moment........... as i have been so busy, (family members sick so not home much) and doing more running around for others, and am knackered when get home.....lol but its still on the to do list........ although i have been watching the ones that come up on trademe out of interest and they are fetching quite a nice price and they look good too, so it gives me hope ........ :D beetle :) |
