Let's turn this around a bit. Every generation has it's bad with the good. I have lots to thank the previous one for and some things not to thank them for. Most of our decisions are entirely up to ourselves and not to be pinned, on to anyone, or anything else.

Chris, what are you doing for the next generation?

840962 2009-12-23 07:37:00 You may not have noticed that when people get put in prison they are out of the (presumably) law abiding society and thus can't repeat the offence.

And I certainly do not support the death penalty in general but in some cases it would appear warranted.

I guess you would just have all murderers, rapists and etc just carry on what they are doing.

Some of you guys disgust me.

I fail to see what xmas spirit has anything to do with murder besides the victims family will probably be spending time mourning for the victim instead of spending time with them.

Telling criminals to just do whatever they want because the victims will just forgive and forget.....

BTW. What have USA stats got to do with Kiwiland?

Also 99.9% of stats are made up on the spot.

I know this because I just did it.

Foaming at the mouth illiberal ranters by the dozen.
Anyone who thinks being in prison is a life of luxury needs a reality check.Perhaps burning at the stake or being hung, drawn and quartered is on your agenda.

Its mutual, we find liberal attitudes to murderers quite disgusting.
Sweep is right when they are locked up they cant commit any more crimes.
Crooks cant reform they are just career crooks until they get too old.

840967 2009-12-23 17:54:00 Well at least my conversation spurs things up. I should do it more often, so many people remain quiet, keep their opinions to themselves and either don't have much to say, or don't want to say it in case they get bogged down in a discussion or get tramped by a lot of people with the same opinion.

What I plan to do for my generation? From 2011 onwards I'll be losing my south in Kenya/Zimbabwe and in many other parts of Africa. Eventually when I come back, if I come back, all things still attached and I'm well, I'll be joining the New Zealand Police, studying through them and from there I'll see where the land lies. I'm sure I can make a difference there, if not in the political chamber.

However, it's very close to Christmas. Merry Xmas to all before hand, hope you are all safe on the roads, and don't drink too much. :P
