| 842077 | 2009-12-29 09:43:00 | I hope the sheep are still around to have a gander at this- www.friendsofscience.org the science supporting climate change is not irrefutable and calling people names is not helping yourself to make an informed determination on this subject. |

| 842078 | 2009-12-29 11:23:00 | Well, right now the little bit of the globe I'm in is stupidly warm. It's about 21 deg C outside, and that is the hottest 9pm temperature we have ever had (today). That is all the irrefutable evidence we need then, global warming is a reality shoot the skeptics. And is stupidly warm a proper scientific term? |

| 842080 | 2010-01-07 02:52:00 | What is up with our so-called scientists at NIWA?? Yet more nonsense in the news. "Yesterday, the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (Niwa) released last month's weather statistics with a note to say the decade was the hottest on record." .....and this was repeated on radio and TV..... But wait there is more..... Doubts cast on warmest decade "Blue Skies Weather forecaster Tony Trewinnard said it was doubtful a few hundredths of a degree was such a statistically significant amount on which to base such statements. www.stuff.co.nz Don't the NIWA scientists know how to handle numbers and present them? Have they not heard of 'uncertainty of measurement' and how to associate uncertainties with the results before they trumpet to the heavens that we have just had the warmest decade without any (reported) qualification or caveats ? Have they been taking lessons from the Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia ? |
