Bound to be more credible then, don't the Greens write for Pravda. Oh that might be the Reds, I get those two mixed up.

842058 2009-12-25 09:45:00 The problem is the world is overpopulated.
What is needed is several selfless billions volunteering to be culled in the interests of the rest of us.

So what is your point. Can you dispute any of those facts. Every day it is becoming clearer that the whole thing is one big scam which Hitler and his propaganda machine would have been immensely proud of.

By the way nice find Cicero.

The Daily Torygraph is the newspaper of the British Tory part.
I'm not a climate expert but I prefer to believe the opinion of those who are.
Are you a climate expert or just a right wing reactionary?

842062 2009-12-28 04:00:00 I'm not a climate expert but I prefer to believe the opinion of those who are .

Unfortunately for the believers there are numerous very well credentialed Scientists that are speaking up and discrediting those that support the whole proposal of Global Warming or Man Made Climate Change .

Their opinions, together with the admission that previous data had been doctored, leaves me with no option but to be a sceptic .

Then, just to cap things off, we have the financial side of things with financial institutions lining up to simply “Clip the Ticket” . :groan:

The ulterior motives behind the whole proposition are obscene .

I’m still waiting for a believer to explain to me how a "Fart Tax" on farm animals will effect the climate . ;)

842063 2009-12-28 05:40:00 The following letter was published in The Listener - Dec . 19th issue .
Please read the Editor's reply .
"CLIMATE CHANGE
The issue of climate change is possibly the most important scientific issue confronting contemporary society and the public depends on the fourth estate to provide a balanced view . “This is it” (November 28) failed this test – it was nothing more than propaganda on behalf of those who believe in the theory of human-induced global warming that is emitted daily by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) .
Before you respond with “the science is settled and therefore the article was balanced”, let me remind readers that about 50-60 scientists contributed to the most recent IPCC Report . In contrast, there are now thousands of scientists worldwide committing their names to petitions stating they do not "agree with the IPCC conclusion of anthropogenic (man-made) global warming .
It appears the Listener has lost sight of its primary role in a democracy .

Dr DC Edmeades

Agricultural spokesman,
NZ Climate Science Coalition"

"Information released by the IPCC Secretariat shows there were over 450 lead authors and more than 800 contributing authors involved across all Working Groups in the latest report . All IPCC drafts are made available for expert comment; in total, more than 2500 experts submitted comments on the various drafts .
It is also important to note that the IPCC reports draw on a vast body of literature and the findings of the many scientists who are behind individual studies .
As for the various petitions (listed by Dr Edmeades but too long to publish), the periodical Scientific American in 2006 took a random sample of 30 PhD scientists in the Petition Project, for example . It was able to verify 26 of them, and found that only “11 said they still agreed with the -petition” . – Editor"

As for the so-called doctored evidence it only forms part of the statistics underpinning the global warming hypothesis .

A letter in the latest issue (Jan . 2-8) "reminds readers that a petition is not a substitute for establishing the truth or facts of an issue . . . . . unless the "thousands of scientists" are actively engaged in climate research . . . and if they really had some knowledge to enlighten us with, they would be published in scientific journals where fellow scientists could test and critique their evidence . "

842064 2009-12-28 06:01:00 So is the editors opinion worth more than any other opinion?

I think not unless the editor is engaged in climate research.

842065 2009-12-28 06:20:00 I guess its worth a damn sight more than yours, particularly since you obviously can't understand a statement like "Information released by the IPCC Secretariat....."
