I have run into some short (3-5 second) WMV files - some of which I can open and play and others of which, when I open them, show multiple pages of what appears to be total gibberish. They must have been placed there to be viewed, but I cannot seem to be able to play them on WMP 10 even though the WMP lists a remarkable number of formats it is supposed to be able to play. Anyone have an idea as to what these represent and how to play them? |

The gibberish ones are most likely corrupt. What site are these on or can you upload an example somewhere like Megaupload (if they're safe to watch :) )? |

Possibly the gibberish ones are licensed / copy protected / viruses |

Try something like codec sniper (www.videohelp.com) to analyse the integrity of the files. |
