Looks like it uses facial recognition, so you can get into windows www.luxand.com Altho, if you use a password to log into windows, you'll still have to use it (I think)

Some sites say, its only for 32 bit, but by the the looks of it, there's a 32 and 64 bit version on the site now. According to the site, you need Vista or Windows 7. And obviously a webcam. It may come in handy for laptop users (for laptops that have built-in webcams)

1125863 2010-08-09 05:37:00 Interesting ... works some of the time, but didn't like my background behind me changing too much, nor if my head was on a slight lean. Chilling_Silence (9)

1125866 2010-08-09 09:05:00 OK found it -- Blink (as linked) is a home user, cut down version with lots of the features removed by the looks.

I found the FaceSDK - which has all the features and is a paid version.

If that other thread "Logon Failure zomg fail help" is any indication, they can keep it -- another gimmick like the finger print scanners on some laptops -- What a joke for security :p

If anyone steals a laptop, wiping the drive will soon solve the problem with any security software.

Actually, our laptops have 7 and bitlocker installed with finger print recognition...
If the laptop is stolen we get a replacement, nothing will stop them getting stolen, however at least the unit is secure from prying eyes!

1125868 2010-08-10 01:39:00 Thats true about bitlocker, (but it wont be true for long - Just reading some interesting articles, One company claims bitlocker can be accessed) but the finger print scanner is a joke.

Theres been many times I have had customers Laptops that have fingerprint scanners, and they use them as security, yet with the right knowledge you can simply by pass them and still get to all the info on the drive.
