1125597 2010-08-08 04:31:00 Hi all,
How can I get into the BIOS in Win ME, HP computer? I can get to safe mode ok but can't see how to get to BIOS before safe mode loads. Doesn't seem to be any option for entering Setup.

Any thoughts?

1125600 2010-08-08 04:46:00 Entering the BIOS Setup utility
To open the BIOS Setup screen:

1.
Turn off the computer and wait five seconds.
2.
Turn on the computer.
3.
When the first screen displays, immediately press the F10 key if your computer was built in 2006 or later (came with Vista or Windows 7). Press the F1 key if your computer was built before 2006 (XP or earlier). Press the key once every second until a BIOS Setup utility screen opens.

1125603 2010-08-08 06:11:00 I hope you are using the opportunity to get into the BIOS to change the boot order to CDROM then booting up Windows XP then formatting that POS scum of an operating system.

*Sorry still bitter about having to use Win ME and rebooting every hour.

1125606 2010-08-08 12:23:00 Just to let you know, the operating system has nothing to do with the key used to get into the BIOS setup. Agent_24 (57)
