No, in fact it was not criminal behaviour. It was a dispute over a deal which the banks were led to believe was lawful. In the end the banks had to pay 80% of the tax owed. IT WAS NOT A CRIMINAL ACT. You seem to confuse unethical behaviour with criminal behaviour. Get that right. Are you about 12? 		Richard (739)

As far as the the banks and the IRS its not criminal behaviour, tax avoidance is good business practice. Its a cat and mouse game you have a tricky accountant/lawyer and the IRS has a 10 foot high pile of tax laws books.
