843713 2009-12-29 05:51:00 I must say I like the idea of a buy/sell/wanted section on here - I doubt I'd use it much, but there are many members on here who I'd trust a lot more than random sellers on TradeMe, so it would certainly be a nice option to have.

An example of an extremely successful 'marketplace' type forum is here (www.cpfmarketplace.com), although it's substantially larger than I suspect PF1 would need. This example is the trading section of CandlePower Forums (www.candlepowerforums.com).

843714 2009-12-29 05:51:00 C'mon Tiddlywinks - surely you could come up with something better than that?

You haven't seen my English skills then. ;)

843715 2009-12-30 01:53:00 I'd be keen. Got a 62in rear-projection tv I want to offload - and I'm not keen on TM, for obvious reasons. ubergeek85 (131)
843716 2009-12-30 03:12:00 Just so happens I have a fantastic 32" Toshiba LCD TV for sale

How does $375 sound?

You deliver?

I've got some cold Mexican beers in the fridge.

843717 2009-12-30 16:23:00 This topic is coming up in several places because of user DISSATISFACTION with Fairfaxes auction site.

To many other operators are competing for the remaining market share and cutting each others throats in the process.

In the end ebay will prevail here.

Te has gone online.

The niche is probably a cheap list volume charged Craig’s list type service, with the emphasis on making a profit by providing a service.

As opposed to the Scamme (TradeMe) make a profit from every action, and give no service model

843718 2009-12-30 17:07:00 That said, Sella has been pretty decent of late :)

However, TM is definitely the NZ monopoly!
