1126925 2010-08-12 02:36:00 Having put win7 disc in and booted twice, when i go to computer and open setup Errrrrrrrrr NO -- you boot from the DVD, not from within Windows -- the DVD doesn't show "Computer".

Make sure that when you boot from the DVD, you press any key when prompted, other wise it will boot into any other OS currently installed.

Just going backwards a bit - the windows 7 DVD will show the hidden recovery partition that vista uses, you can dump that as well under the drive options advanced.

1126926 2010-08-12 02:40:00 To boot from your DVD you have to go into the bios and change the first boot device. It is probably set to HD change it to DVD.

1126928 2010-08-12 05:48:00 What do you mean it keeps opening?

First of all set the boot order in the BIOS to CD then HDD. Save and exit.

Open CD drawer. Insert Win 7 DVD. Restart PC. There will be a prompt which says hit any key to boot off CD. Push the enter key. If you don't push the key it will boot off your current Operating system.

I mean,it keeps opening as normal.

I have done the above, but as I say,no luck getting that prompt.
