1126679 2010-08-11 21:31:00 I have just purchased a Kingson USB Drive, and ever since I got it, my computer isn't ejecting any of my USB devices. I press eject, but nothing happens. I check it using unlocker, and nothing is running. Also when I do finally take it out, sometimes It doesn't show up when I plug it back in. Anyone know what's happening? dpDesignz (15919)
1126680 2010-08-11 22:02:00 What version of windows ? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1126681 2010-08-11 22:05:00 Welcome to PF1 :)

What USB ports are you using, front or the rear ports ?

Also when I do finally take it out, sometimes It doesn't show up when I plug it back in. When you eject the USB it turns off the port, so sometimes it takes a reboot to get the port to work again. My XP's do that quite a bit -- a real PITA.

1126682 2010-08-12 11:56:00 Hi. Thanks.
I'm running windows XP. It's only started happening since I got this new flash drive. It is running of a USB hub connected to a front port.
I have finally got it to show up properly again, but now when I press eject, it still shows up under my computer as not being ejected.

1126683 2010-08-12 11:59:00 Does this Hub have its own power supply? Snorkbox (15764)
1126684 2010-08-12 12:01:00 Not everything likes hubs either Speedy Gonzales (78)
1126685 2010-08-12 12:04:00 I've run the hub successfully for the last 2 years with various USB devices. This is the first time anything like this has happened. And it also happens with all my ports, not just the hub. The hub does have a power supply, but last time I plugged it in, it literally burnt three brand new flash drives, so I haven't plugged it in since. dpDesignz (15919)
1126686 2010-08-12 12:05:00 Is SP3 on it? Speedy Gonzales (78)
1126687 2010-08-12 12:08:00 yes. Latest updates etc. Like I said, I think it's something to do with the flash drive because when I plug it into my laptop it still shows once ejected as well. dpDesignz (15919)
1126688 2010-08-12 12:15:00 Eject it, go to device manager, delete all the entries under USB controllers. Then reboot, then see if it works properly Speedy Gonzales (78)
