| 1127429 | 2010-08-13 22:52:00 | Hi guys, strange issue... I have a server running Server 2003 R2 (x86) with several shares on it. I have a HP i7 laptop running Windows 7 Pro and I have desktop PC running Windows 7 Pro as well. THE PROBLEM. I can access the shares on the server from the Windows 7 laptop but not from the Windows 7 desktop. When I try to access the shares from the desktop I get prompted to enter a username and password. I enter the logon details but it always fails. Yet I can RDP to the server from the Desktop using the same credentials I typed in to access the network share! Any advise please? |

| 1127432 | 2010-08-14 00:50:00 | It's fixed now but don't know what I've done. I cleared all the logs via event viewer because I wanted to see if any events were getting logged on the failed attempts to access the shares. I typed \\servername and it brought up all the shares and I could access them without entering username and password. Cheers for the advice. |
