| 1127418 | 2010-08-13 22:12:00 | Am getting a netcom modem to replace our RTA1320, does anyone have one? Or a link so I can have a look at the model? Also... am experiencing really slow download, I never seem to get higher than 500kb, while they tested my line and it goes to 8mbps.... Anyone got an idea how I can make this faster...Slingshot also mentioned interleaving settings were on???!! what ever that is.. am not that savy :S | mark1978 (13845) | ||
| 1127419 | 2010-08-13 22:27:00 | Look for the model in Google. Tell Slingshot to turn interleaving off. I think it has to be turned off/on from the ISP's end. Unless you're on a ADSL 2 + plan / connection, you wont get ADSL2 speeds | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1127425 | 2010-08-13 23:45:00 | Hmm, "The only time I have seen it have undesired results is when someone had it enabled on a rural line that probably should never have had DSL in the first place. Electric fences seriously disrespect ADSL. =)" Actually it doesn't. I had a customer in dialup getting problems with an electric fence nearby. Not heres so she couldn't do anything about it. She went onto Xnets 256K broadband plan and is still happy 3 years later. The electric fence is still going.......... |
