| 1127394 | 2010-08-13 09:28:00 | Hey I was just wondering about HDD warrantys. I ask because i just purchased a WD HDD of trade me and because it was second hand i got no receipt. But on WD site i checked the serial number and it said it was still in warranty. If my HDD breaks can i still claim on the warranty although i dont have a receipt????. Also anyone know about other HDD manufacturers? Thanks |

| 1127395 | 2010-08-13 21:26:00 | If wd site says it is still under warranty then yes you can do it without a receipt but it will probably mean sending it back to wd. That will probably be in another country and could take a while before you get it back. If you had the receipt then you could take it back to where it was bought from. |
