845226 2010-01-03 09:11:00 I had a quick look at it. Doesn't appear to be that much off. It's about location and the pictures don't look bad, a bit of luxury with a good view thru the window or is that a balcony, in complex shared pool I take it.

Sure you could get a house, but city apartments def do have their attraction and some people are prepared to pay.

1 bedroom could be nice for many people, it's not a studio.
It is brand new and above the posh hotel.

I would of thought that with modest apartments for non students, in the city 1 bedroom may need $350k.
450k for a normal house in the suburbs. No where as posh as that one thou.

845228 2010-01-03 10:17:00 What did you expect? It's in a nice hotel (and across from our fave eating place) bob_doe_nz (92)
845229 2010-01-03 13:32:00 Greg.. they are Auckland prices. I mean someone paid $100,000 for a carpark space a few years ago. Not saying that its sensible but yeah, sense takes a hiding when it comes to Auckland real estate unfortunately. beeswax34 (63)
845230 2010-01-03 17:17:00 Yeah I s'pose you're right. And compared to many overseas cities, including Sydney, it could be seen as normal. Greg (193)
