Or perhaps the yanks and the Chinese could send a few up as well, They could miss and land in strategic spots all over the globe.....like Iran. I'd rather take my chances with teh asteroid, Then perhaps the twats could have something else rather then climate change to keep them up at night. Hell, It would make a mockery of it all.
