2010-01-01 08:03:00 | Wow! A Subaru Legacy that ONLY gets 17/24 (Town/Freeway) Miles Per Gallon! Good grief! Are you stating realized mileage or advertised values?Realised, with 95 octane fuel. Maybe I should have someone look at it - any other 2002 Subaru owners (with Boxer H6 engines) get better fuel economy? | maccrazy (6741) | |
2010-01-01 08:15:00 | My 1986 Subaru Omega 1800cc, with 280.000 k's on the clock, does about 300k's/full tank/NZ$70 approx. Admittedly the engine is on it's last legs really.

2010-01-11 09:18:00 | typical NZ bad driving attitude yet again. how do you know they don't have a good reason? how do they cause an accident, they don't hit anyone. its the morons behind them that can't drive that crash. end of the day its got nothing to do with slow drivers or impatient drivers. it doesn't matter what speed or what the situation is, the same people will always blame something else to justify their bad driving. to them the world must dance to their tune, instead of them dancing to the worlds tune. another example is the "your not allowed to slow down or stop" which is to justify their tailgating and crashing when the car in front slows. Had a case today driving north over the Rimutakas. This guy driving a van and going so slowly it was pathetic and had traffic starting to bank up and he would not pull over at any reasonable spot. At one point he was going 55km slower than I would have at that point.

2010-01-11 21:53:00 | ive got no problems with big trucks going slow - its what they do and they are usually pretty good when it comes to on road courtesy - they signal when you can pass or pull over if they cant its the people that buy a Dihatsu Sirion and drive it like its going to fall apart you know the type - they get the base model 1L model cause their hippy friend suggested it and baby it round gawking at the fuel consumption readout and freak out when it goes over 8L\100km so they always drive around at no more than 2000rpm and the wee engine struggles and they go slower holding everyone up and causing mayhem from the road - they are usualy the same people that flip off the other guy that after following them on a main road for 45 minutes at 78kmh finally gets past them i have a friend that has a 1L sirion for a work car and i know that they are well capaple of maintaining the speed limit and exeeding it if need be - my friends one says hello to its redline all the time - and hes never holding anyone up and funnily enough gets the same fuel milage as mr dawdles over there trying to stay below 8l\100kmh :p

Well he was going so slowly on some corners, and this was on the down hill side, I almost came to a complete stop. It is the fact that holding others up he would not pull over even though there were several very good opportunities to do so. I have no problem with most truckies as I understand the situation but I have come across some ignorant ones on the hill. I have noticed the Wairarapa truckies are more polite generally than Wellington ones. |

2010-01-12 00:51:00 | Going to Taupo recently there was this container truck going down hill heading towards the Mohaka bridge, he was going slower down hill than he would of been going up. I can understand the reason for it. :)
