I had been pushing to include the USA as I would have enjoyed the Smithsonian and other museums, however, we are now going to skip the place, just can't be bothered with the hassles. Ah - don't be put off. The Smithsonian and the other national buildings in the Mall are compulsory visits. Take at least two days. Honestly, do it. Don't see what everyones problem is though, didn't they say they were only really making it a PITA for people from (list of countries, mostly middle eastern countries) Actually you are correct about that - most nationalities are safe enough. However what I am astonished about is the anguished navel-gazing and apportioning of blame which is still going on right now in the US political and security agencies. Its a media festival. They missed the guy. It happens. How many tens of thousands enter the US every day? Can't check them all. |

They acheived their objective, and won every battle in which they engaged. They withdrew in stages, because continued support for the NEW Corrupt Saigon administration, became untenable. It is not nessecarry to achieve a resounding victory to "Acheive" you objective. |

With the intention of "Eradicateing" the (Percived)Hindu, Zionist, Christian, alliance . Problem: These people have 2000 plus years experience operating as bandits and insurgents in one of the best reigons in the world for that type of activity . They wrote the origonal book on Gerilla warfare/insurgency . Ongoing, still in Favour of the NATO, US, ANZUS alliance . :) |

They had a right to raid Afghanistan after 911 attack, kill some Al Qada and Taleban then leave. Can use airpower to keep taking out any residual terrorists. The Afghanis have for centuries been quite happy fighting amongst themselves when an invader comes in they unite and take on the invader. The pomgolians got a huge dicking there and no one has learnt from history. There are two places history says in a loud voice don't invade Afghanistan and the other is Russia. |
