I dont think you should have to have any excuse to carry a gun, in the USA its a constitutional right. Its one thing the yanks have sorted and I admire them for it. Gun owner votes must count for something in NZ there are 300,000 gun owner voters. Mr McVicar isnt a gun person you and him share something in common. |

It shouldn't be this way we have the second highest rate of gun ownership in the world Finland first. We should celebrate guns like happy happy joy joy. Even with our Nazi firearm regs we still have more gun owners as a percentage of the population than usa. I would like the arms code changed so that saying owning a gun for self defence does not get the gun confiscated. So according to that the Police and all citizens should be armed in case they get attacked? |

Thank you. I too make mistakes but I still have the right of free speech and fortunately I am not governed by the laws in the USA which I might add vary from state to state. |

Just the police enforce the arms act to the letter but drive past kids cycling on the road without a helmet they should be consistent. Guns dont kill people people kill people with guns a gun wont kill a person by itself. |

Guns at home as good as tits on a bull because they are locked away and ammo in another place, probably by the time unlocked safe and got ammo loaded up the crooks would have done their deeds. Have no compunction firing crossbow at someone doing a camper bus invasion pretty sure it would be like the dude who shot a crook armed with a knife at gun shop in Mt Eden public pressure would stop the cops from prosecuting. |

For a sort period of time there would be a lot of death. a few innocents, many criminals, and unplesant poeple, would die. Then the world would be a plesanter place, with much better mannered people, and very few crimminals. |
