2010-08-17 10:56:00 | Whats the Refresh rate on average for CRT's. | icow (15313) | |
2010-08-17 10:58:00 | 60? Any higher it'll probably say its out of range | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-08-17 11:12:00 | If you can go to 75hz, anything lower can give you sore eyes. :)

2010-08-17 11:20:00 | 60? Any higher it'll probably say its out of range WAT? the OP is asking about CRTs :annoyed: for me, anything lower than 85Hz flickers, I prefer 100hz, and up to 200hz for gaming.

2010-08-17 11:22:00 | Yup some wont go above 60. I know what the OP is talking about | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-08-17 11:37:00 | It's also resolution-dependent. Running SVGA or thereabouts, a lot of monitors could go up above 85 to around 120kHz pretty easily. Most would go down to around 60-75kHz as you got near their max resolution. | MushHead (10626) | |
2010-08-17 11:51:00 | you can get 200hz crts? | jareemon (5207) | |
2010-08-17 16:05:00 | you can get 200hz crts? Yup, I used to play Quake 3 @ 1024x768 200hz on my Sony 20" :nerd:

2010-08-17 19:49:00 | Yup some wont go above 60. I know what the OP is talking about CRTs will. There was an issue with Windows where it would revert to 60hz, but not because the monitors weren't capable.

2010-08-17 21:33:00 | I know some of older CRTs we had, in 1992, 14" AOC, which was a tube CRT, wasn't a flatscreen. You had maybe high reso that you could use but the manual said they were in "interlacing" mode and some of them were like 45-60Hz .. :D Not sure what was 640x480 thou maybe 70Hz I guessed. | Nomad (952) | |
