| 1128706 | 2010-08-17 09:17:00 | My main HDD is faulty. From a backup on an external HDD, I have cloned the system onto my second (slave) disk. I changed this second disk to Master and the failing disk to slave, deleted and formated the slave so it is empty. The system starts from the new master. However, if I disconnect the power to the slave and try and reboot, the system hangs and won't start. Using the WIN7 program disk to try and repair startup, I get a message that the disk cannot start windows. Now, if I reconnect the power to the faulty slave and reboot, all is back to normal! What steps do I need to remove the faulty slave? Should I disconnect the cable along with the power? |
