| 1128537 | 2010-08-16 23:00:00 | I use two Vista computers, one Acer and one DELL. Sometimes I place into a folder (e.g. AncestorPictures) a file which I want an app to link into its database. But - the app's Browse or Add function cannot see the new file! It does not list in its listbox. Yet it IS there and it does list when I use Windows Explorer at the OS level. I have seen this with two apps from different software houses. Reason? Cure? Workaround? |

| 1128541 | 2010-08-17 23:34:00 | Yey! Thanks guys . Great answers . I had been STUPID . In the DELL notebook I had two folders with the data files in both . (?) One under C:\ and one under \Documents . I moved the new . jpg into the folder under \Documents but the app was expecting to find its data in the folder under C:\ ! Oh dear . Thanks again . This will explain why the same problem occurs on the other computer running a different app . :) |
