| 1128332 | 2010-08-16 08:38:00 | Hi all, I d/l a bunch of tutorial files and unbeknown to me these included one with this whopper file name: Overflow hidden; - CSS Tutorial - Correcting Orphans w_ Overflow - CSS Overflow Tricks and Tips _ HTML_CSS Tutorials _ Web Design Tutorials and Front-end Development Blog by Soh Tanaka.maff I've unsuccessfully tried to nuke it since it's bloody long and contains a ";" which I think is an illegal character. How can I get rid of it? Tried command prompt Rename and Unlocker in safe mode but failed to nuke it. Much appreciation. |

| 1128335 | 2010-08-16 09:23:00 | Hmm, looks like malware dressed up as a malware tutorial. This advice may depend on your OS. If you can get into a DOS / Command Promt, navigate to it's directory. (restart in MSDOS mode if all else fails) Do a Dir command to see it's abbreviated DOS name, which will probably be overfl~1.maf (not sure about the maff in the extension. If there's no other files called overflow then just use overfl*.* in the following lines) Set it's attributes (protection) to normal with: Attrib -r -h -w -s overfl~1.maf Then delete the sucker with: del overfl~1.maf |
