846662 2010-01-07 12:07:00 Its too hot here, well the last couple of days have been pretty hot. Snow would be awesome right now hueybot3000 (3646)
846663 2010-01-07 19:06:00 In my experience, snow is great when it's an idea - and often looks lovely from the comfort of a nice warm pub - and when you're not on a skiing holiday, but the reality of snow soon palls...

Does Lydney usually get that kind of weather wmoore? Or is this being conveniently attributed to climate change?

No not really. We live just above Lydney in Yorkley. The temp is going to drop
to -8c tonight..The climate change people have been very quiet.
It's stopped snowing, but the main problem is ice.

846667 2010-01-07 22:00:00 Well actually global warming will make the UK colder as it will turn off the gulf stream due to the ice melting and dumping all that fresh water into the Atlantic, which will force the warmer saltwater down lower gary67 (56)

I haven't been able to make it to work for the last couple of days. The main roads are gritted but trying to get to them is the problem. The roads around us in the mornings are like sheets of ice. And of course all the schools are shut, so finding childcare is another problem as well for working parents.
