846389 2010-01-07 01:22:00 Can't understand why more people don't use Firefox.

Why is it that IE still does not work properly? Perhaps it is no surprise that it's still as bad as it is, but it is a nuisance when building a website. Everything needs to be built with IE in mind as it seems to interpret websites in a different way to Firefox. Pages that run well in Firefox may not load properly in IE and because 80% of surfers still use IE a website needs to be built to IEs poor standards.

846390 2010-01-07 01:25:00 I would use IE, if there was something that actually worked to block ads. And if it saved passwords. But it doesnt Speedy Gonzales (78)

Untangle (http://www.untangle.com/)(big thanks to Chill) I got it running at home on a spare PC. I have also added my custom filters and surfing the web with adblock turned off in Firefox. At the moment using google chrome and not an ad in sight. Thinking of implementing it at work also.

Its too slow for me. I prefer to use chrome for browsing because its faaaast and Firefox to watch videos and downlaod (IDM is integrated, I could with chrome but the constant "Downlaod This Video" annyoys me. For some reason videos (Youtube) dont buffer in Firefox but they do in chrome! Even if its the same video on the same PC!

846393 2010-01-07 01:41:00 450 -571 mb lol.. Well I havent got any spare PC's. And 571mb for a beta.. hmm. And I cant run it on this, the windows version is only 32 bit. I would use Chrome, BUT that doesnt save passwords either (even tho it may work for others, it doesnt here). Speedy Gonzales (78)

I don't put a huge effort into making my site IE6 compatible, instead I put on messages encouraging them to upgrade/switch.

Also, if you go by version numbers, Firefox 3.5 is the most popular browser :D

Firefox is not the most used browser going by the stats I get on two web sites I maintain.
