| 845746 | 2010-01-07 08:59:00 | The UK has a much larger wealthier economy on PAPER, but they come here in there droves as it doesn't really trickle down for most. The average "attached" UK house is between 75-100M2, most live in what we would consider slum housing, with the only advantage being better insulation. On paper the UK is very wealthy. The US is the worlds largest economy. 2% of the worlds population owns 50% of the worlds wealth. Thats an incredible statistic. When you consider most of that 2% live in countries like the US and the UK you can start to understand a lot of this country comparing on paper is not an exact science. |

If you were rich in pomland you have some of the best shooting in the world and access to more culture than you can poke a stick at and if weather too bad,nip over to Spain or the Bahamas. |

One of the serious side effects has been home grown terrorism, from residents who owe no loyalty to the society in which they live. The city of Leicester (about the size of Christchurch) has over a third of its population either originating from or decendants of immigrants from the Indian sub-continent - the indigenous English residents of that city had no say in the process and not surprisingly, they see themselves of victims of an immigration policy of which they had no say. Multiculturism is fine as long as those having it imposed on them are happy with the idea. In some areas of Britain if one ends up needing the services of the National Health Service one can be lucky to be attended to by a doctor who can communicate effectively in English. In some areas the indigenous British child is in a minority at their local school with an unacceptable proportion of the children coming from families that do not speak english at home, and in ,many instance cannot even regard English as a second language. I put it to you, if you were a young englishman especially with a young family, who was living in such an urban society, thien chances are you would leap at a chance to leave. Think this can't happen in New Zealand and Australia, the process has taken 60 years in Britain and is now irreversable - just reflect on how much your society has changed in the past 10 years - and did you have any say in this change - were you ever consulted. Australia has already had brushes with people who arrived as asylum seakers and are now involved in setting up terrorist cells against the country that took them in. |

In those days there used to be real debates on TV, not 10 second sound bites because of people not being able to concentrate for more than 10 seconds.....real debates...real to and fro, lasting up to an hour. Enoch never lost in debate because his logic was so impeccable, his mind so razor sharp. Classical scholar with brilliant intellect. So his detractors took to shouting him down and misrepresenting what he had said. He was a rare combination of being a Conservative MP, yet he was everyones man, a Brum man who spoke Brum, the hero of the working class, and of the dockers, because he was the only MP who voiced their thoughts for them. |
