847273 2010-01-09 07:02:00 I've always assumed it is not piracy, in the main. It IS associated with Google isnt it? So if it was illegal to d/l stuff, I would have thought that Google would say so. PJ Poppa John (284)
847274 2010-01-09 07:07:00 I have d/l You Tube Downloader hd. So as I understand it. You cannot d/l directtly from You Tube. I have to put the appropriate URL into the Downloader & go from there. When I have the video clip saved in My Videos, is it possible to copy the sound only directly from there? Or again, only thro a third party programme as suggested above? PJ Poppa John (284)

I'm quite sure that 98% of people don't care...its no different to recording TV.

Also PJ, if you use Greasemonkey (addons.mozilla.org) addon in Firefox, you can install this (userscripts.org) script which adds a download button direct to youtube. It also has some other cool features.

I use Format Factory. Its simple, has inbuilt options (PSP, Ipod, PS3, etc etc) also lets you pick exactly what you want and it does ALOT of formats!
