846926 2010-01-08 20:23:00 I have an MY-30, and it's been very good so far. It seems to be reasonably up to date, although there are some quirks like identifying sections of SH2 and SH1 as having 50k speed limits.

Nice feature is being able to put in pocket when leaving car in bad spots.

Mine reads 70 when 80 is speed limit.

You think they would sort these things out after years of practice.

846927 2010-01-08 20:48:00 I have the MY55 and have found it ok....for my use's. It gets me from point A to B and back while I am in Auckland and Wellington and other NZ cities.

I haven't had a reason to use it while in Australia yet.

I would have probably preferred to have got a TomTom unit but since the MY55 was a Qantas *freebie*, I cannot complain too much about its operation.

The packaging said something about free updates but following the link given with the paper work came back to a dead link and after going around in circles at the Navman site, gave up, haven't tried again.

Oh, the supplied DVD wouldn't install either.

I purchased a MY500XT late last month.

Love it - no hassles :)

Guys at DSE said to use the software and reinstall the software onto my Navman, maybe that would fix it . Then they said if nothing found they will bill me $50 minimum . Well they say 2 weeks, I give them 3 weeks then as they say Christmas / New Yr take longer .

Computer parts are diagnosed within hours when they get my parcel - next day courier . My Nikon camera gets taken apart and tested and I get advised within 48hr from when I send the package .

They also said different cars may avoid getting a signal re: the tinting on the windscreen . . . . Well it didn't work outside in the middle of a green park either .
