846273 2010-01-06 05:24:00 The dashboard gearchange is very easy to get used to and gives you more floor space in the front. Years ago the gear change for most biggish cars was on the steering column - not much different from that.

Explain?

Do you put your feet on the middle console?

846274 2010-01-06 05:37:00 No. The CRV has a tray between the two front seats, which folds down, leaving space for a small bag or a chilly bin full of beers (which stay in the chilly bin until arrival at the beach, of course!)

The floor in the CRV is flat.

846275 2010-01-06 05:50:00 What's eh?You hid the main point/question regarding the foot handbrake in the middle of your post. It did make it difficult to work out what your question was. Jen (38)
846276 2010-01-06 05:58:00 The better question is can your Mother drive the car?

Also why not carry on with posting in the other thread?

Also why cross the bridge before you come to it?

And circumstances may change between now and June.

She had a try of it and didn't like it, she wants something more simple, ie . the handbrake at its usual place, the gears at the usual place, she doesn't wanna relearn .

Also why not carry on with posting in the other thread?

Apologies .

Apologies.

Sounds like your Mother has sense.

No need to apologise to me BTW.

Don't see the problem with it.

Perfectly good poll now that we all know the actual question. Go complain about some other threads. Oh wait
