847472 2010-01-10 04:17:00 That was obviously staged. Greg (193)
847473 2010-01-10 04:42:00 You're on to it Greg. ;)

It actually says it was at an Air Show. ;)

The guy is apparently a well known stunt pilot and the plane has special wing tips and a lot more horses than normal.

Still pretty to watch and a great advert for Liquor. ;)

847474 2010-01-10 06:00:00 I thought it was awesome with a capital a, amazing he didnt stall it.
I would guess it is grossly over powered and just hanging off the prop.

847475 2010-01-10 07:00:00 It's a 150 cub, they beg to be flown like that. R2x1 (4628)
847476 2010-01-10 07:35:00 Ok I thought it had an IO 720 or something like it. prefect (6291)
847477 2010-01-10 08:24:00 Nope, looks like a regular Super Cub with rub handles and a paper bag or two of powder hung on the tips R2x1 (4628)

Reminds me of my first attempt at landing a PA18 on 34 at Wellington - seven landings on the one approach. :waughh:

Except the stunt pilot in this clip knew exactly what he was doing. Superb precision flying.

I didn't have any excuse (apart from the quirky northerly).

847479 2010-01-10 22:24:00 Landing a small plane in windy wellington is an achievement in its own right. prefect (6291)
847480 2010-01-10 22:45:00 Landing any plane in windy wellington is an achievement in its own right.

Fixed that for you prefect!! :D
