I was just listening to some Britain's Got Talent Youtube cuts and came across this beautiful cover by the wonderful young Connie Talbot. She was apparently only seven years of age when it was recorded. She'll be a superstar beyond what she already is one day. The song is a cover (one of several) where she does Bob Marley's Pretty Little Thing. (Although I think it was really Peter Tosh's creation - can't say for certain. Anyway, Connie does it wonderfully, and the beauty shines through in the sounds of someone so young and innocent. She and her parents must have had some fantastic musicians helping out. I recall Vanessa Paradis when she did her Joe De Taxi song many years ago - this so reminds me of her. Without further ado... www.youtube.com |

| 847249 | 2010-01-09 20:48:00 | My Mother always called me Contrary Mary because I did read the thread:) and I don't normally like reggae but I really enjoyed the clip. I remember seeing Connie when she first appeared on Britain's Got Talent in 2007 singing 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' and was described by one of the judges as being "pitch perfect", at that time she was only 6 years old. I think she has a good singing future way beyond the cute stage. |
