1129982 2010-08-20 12:23:00 On 5/8/2010 I started getting event 2017 srv non paged pool allocation errors.

No idea what triggered these. Anyone good enough to check their Win7 system logs to see if there is a pattern, please? KB2286198 went through 4/8 but probably not relevant.

I have found registry mods that are supposed to fix this but my machine doesn't have the keys that are supposed to be modified.

Is that whats not there? Is it networked to a linux server?

1129984 2010-08-21 00:53:00 Thanks, Speedy. No Linux here! Yes, saw that one and those are the missing registry entries. I can add them in, of course, but I was wondering why this 'problem' has just started.

Mmmmm, just had a thought. I think I now know why I have got these errors. It is because I started to do a Macrium image backup from another machine to my machine. It is scheduled weekly and I can now relate dates and times to the errors.

So, if I am going to continue this I will need to configure my machine to look more like a server.

Sorry to waste your time.
