1129752 2010-08-20 03:58:00 After wasting several hours trying to figure out how I did it previously I'm hoping someone can help me remember how I connected the video camera to the PC.

The camera's cable has yellow (video out) and black (audio out) plugs and the WinFast TV card has an AV Line-In plug with black (S-VID out), green (Y out), blue (Pb out/comp. out) and red (PR out) plugs on it.

I have completely forgotten where to put the camera's yellow and black plugs so that I can transfer the movies from the camera's tapes onto the PC's hard drive.

I'm not even sure I used the AV Line-In plugs but can't find any other leads or plugs that might work. The camera does not have firewire.

Can anyone please remind me?

Found one with red, white and yellow plugs but they are male, same as the camera's cables . . .

1129757 2010-08-20 04:49:00 Probably need an RCA / mini-din adapter Speedy Gonzales (78)
1129758 2010-08-20 05:14:00 It could be the blue plug for video, on my 8600GT the video dongle uses the blue port for component and Composite video. (although that is output, not input)

Check the TV card manual...

1129759 2010-08-21 10:24:00 Check the TV card manual . . .

If the manuals were of any help at all I wouldn't be here asking . :(

The nice young geek at Tricky Dicky's today got me sorted out with the leads . . . or so I thought . I now have audio but still no picture and I'm darned if I know why .

The cable with yellow plug from the camera plugs into a RCA / mini-din adapter? which then plugs into the black AV Line-in plug that goes into either the TV card or the graphics card but neither will produce a picture .

Playback on the TV is fine .

This is most likely an impossible issue to resolve remotely so I'm just providing an update on the situation for anyone who may be interested .

1129760 2010-08-21 10:27:00 Open / run the tuner program and change it to the external source / whatever that din plug connection is called (in its options / prefs). If its connected properly, play whatever on the cam you should get the signal from the cam. If you want, I can check the program out with teamviewer. Speedy Gonzales (78)
1129761 2010-08-21 10:52:00 Do you mean so that it says "S-Video" in the box, rather than "Live TV"? Have done that. Can't see anywhere else that I can change it. FoxyMX (5)
