but I have a Vista computer here and they're using Outlook 2003.
home user,
recently Outlook comes up with a message;
"Connection to Microsoft Exchange Server is unavailable"
did some google research on this but it seems a bit gobbly gook to me.

any suggestions how to get Outlook up and running again.

all set but another problem has arisen when I close Outlook.
But I will research that and come back as needed.

1129702 2010-08-20 01:53:00 Have you tried uninstall Office 2003 and reinstall? Is the PST file for outlook backed up?

Find the PST file. How big is same? If over two Gig it's possibly corrupt.

Outlook is set to use Word as the editor..delete the normal.dot and let word create a new one when Outlook isnt open!
