848566	2010-01-14 00:19:00	Ok having a bad day, i have a morgage with kiwibank . . . . . . . . . :crying i need to fix my bathroom, as its in a sad state . i want to borrow $10 thous to fix it . my bank morgage comes up for renewel on 26th January . they have not said no yet, but because i only work 30 hours a week on a reasonable wage they may say no, i have a nearly a 50% equity in the house . . . . . . . . but they will not lend me the 10 thousand dollars because i dont work full time/ or earn enough for them? i have not defaulted in any payments, i have no other debt, no car hp, no credit card, no student loan . . . . . . . is it time to look for a new bank? cos i now see the changing of a car, and doing the bathroom going down the gurgla at this point in time . . . . . . . any suggestions? whats a good bank or a morgage broker? oh and i can only deal with loans people from kiwi bank over the phone they have no bank loans / morgage person in wanga's . . . . . . . . . :( ive only talked to 4 different people about it this week . . . . :( beetle	beetle (243)

DIY is fine for some, but many people are incapable, and plumbing fittings often still requires a plumber, as they have to crimp the pipes, as pipes are often not in p[laces you need them to be in when you get new fittings. Good quality components do cost. eg Methven taps.	robbyp (2751)
848574	2010-01-14 04:16:00	even DIY adds up. dad recently did the bathroom at his and that cost him over 4k, and about a weeks labour. So if it was a plumber you could probaly spend 10k easily	hueybot3000 (3646)
848575	2010-01-14 04:47:00	Ok just to clarify this, the bathroom needs new shower, new vanity, possibly can use old toilet, but means everything has to be fawn and i dont think you can get them anything but white any more . I also have to reframe some of it, and regib the whole room in the waterproof gib, plaster, and paint as well as plumber, and electrician to fix the towel rail thing that hangs off the wall at a dangerous position at moment, i have also got to replace the fan cos it went bang and no longer sucks air out the tube . and then i will have to do the floor, which i have 2 lots of lino in my bathroom . . . lol and i can diy some, but i cant even lift a sheet of gib, and im female with only so much diy knowlegde and i admit this may be beyond me . and the bank said i would need 10 grand, i had asked for 5 to start with and they said thats silly . i earn more now, i work more hours, i have less debt, and i have a reasonable equity in my house, but because i am single, and only work 30 (my choice) they grump, but i can get more hours at work if i want . . . . . . . . . but i am raising 2 children who i think are more important, so i stuck to 30 hours, so im at work while they are at school . so yeah, im having a stupid moment i guess, i know i just cant do it all, i admit it . im not perfect i cant do everything alone, and sometimes ya just have to get help . so yeah thanks all, nice to hear from you all and make me feel really dumb and stupid for not being able to do this one by myself . . . . . . . beetle just isnt up to it . i have too much on in my life and sometimes ya just need to grump . beetle :D	beetle (243)
