1129870 2010-08-27 08:42:00 unfortunately it looks like I don't have many choices available for free antivirus, as MSSE was the first choice sooby (15023)
1129871 2010-08-27 08:44:00 Like I said I can send it through teamviewer. Its about 11.5 mb (the XP version). If you want it Speedy Gonzales (78)

1129874 2010-08-27 08:54:00 Be careful WHAT you get. Because, there's a program called Security Essentials 2010 going around. This is NOT MS's AV program Speedy Gonzales (78)
1129875 2010-08-27 10:06:00 thanks for the warning speedy, I'm sure this ones legit tho.

Kaspersky is gone & MSSE is loaded, I'm stoked - so fingers crossed this sorts our problems!

Cheers again everyone for bearing with me & all your support :)

1129876 2010-08-27 10:07:00 Sweet. Hopefully it stays crash-free ! Speedy Gonzales (78)
1129877 2010-08-27 23:32:00 wow, the speed increase of the PC is incredible with MSSE - its like changing 56k for broadband!

I thought it was a placebo effect & all in my head, but then my wife noticed the difference straight away & I hadn't told her about the changes.

I'm really surprised Kaspersky didn't even offer any fixes to keep me a customer of theirs, they pretty much gave up & just offered to refund the purchase price.

Bottom line is if the performance keeps up like this & without any crashs, I'll be one stoked cookie!!

cheers

1129878 2010-08-28 02:01:00 Maybe Kaspersky know about the problem and have no fix, so the most sensible idea is to give a refund. Agent_24 (57)

yeah I guess that makes sense - just seems like bad customer relations to not at least tell the end user that tho.
