| 1129833 | 2010-08-20 10:23:00 | Its your tuner drivers crashing the system wf88vcap.sys. USB drivers are also crashing USBPORT.SYS. Kaspersky is also crashing it kl1.sys Where did you get the tuner drivers from?? Since the latest version on the site is 5.13.22.6115 Which are here www.leadtek.com So, uninstall Kaspersky, update the tuner drivers. Also since it looks like this has a Nvidia chipset or something? Uninstall Nvidia firewall if its installed. Its hopeless |

| 1129835 | 2010-08-20 10:43:00 | Kaspersky or Nvidia firewall if its installed maybe the cause of all of them. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1129837 | 2010-08-20 11:04:00 | Where did you get the tuner drivers from?? those drivers came installed on the PC when it was built in 2003 (or when it visited a PC technician in the last few years) So, uninstall Kaspersky, update the tuner drivers . Also since it looks like this has a Nvidia chipset or something? Uninstall Nvidia firewall if its installed . Its hopeless 1/ Is the best protocol to do as above to download the Kaspersky drivers to a USB flash drive, then reinstall them? I'm a little hesitant to run the PC without antivirus in case I need to get more help from you guys . 2/ I'm not aware of any Nvidia firewall in operation, how do I find out if its running? 3/ I've downloaded the latest drivers - what exactly is involved in uninstalling & reinstalling them? Thanks |

| 1129839 | 2010-08-20 12:05:00 | 1/ Is the best protocol to do as above to download the Kaspersky drivers to a USB flash drive, then reinstall them? I'm a little hesitant to run the PC without antivirus in case I need to get more help from you guys. No uninstall it altogether, then install something better. There's more than 1 AV program around. Install Microsoft's AV instead 2/ I'm not aware of any Nvidia firewall in operation, how do I find out if its running? Look in add/remove programs. If Nvidia firewall doesnt appear here, is there an entry called Nforce network access manager. If there is uninstall it 3/ I've downloaded the latest drivers - what exactly is involved in uninstalling & reinstalling them? Unzip them first (if its zipped), then go to device manager to the tuner entry, drivers tab / update driver. Point it to the folder you extracted the zipped file in. It should update them. If you need help get teamviewer, send the ID and password to me in a PM. I'll update them from here |
