I got intrigued and did an extensive internet search, and still came up with nothing. There is a book by James Beever called "A Dictionary of Maori Plant Names" (1991), published by the Auckland Botanical Society that is a possible source, if you have it in your local library. It costs $5 from the Society plus p & p. Or you can buy it from a number of overseas sources where it is advertised for up to $US20 plus p & p... And you are right - kopukapuka is the name for the Chatham Is Forget Me Not. |
