2010-01-13 07:16:00 | Today I was looking at a friends new laptop. It was a HP with 4GB of ram and only 32bit Windows 7 leaving only 2.96GB usable! But my uncles new HP p6220a desktop has 2GB of ram and 64bit Windows 7?!? WTF?!? | xyz823 (13649) | |

On the other hand, if they install a 64-bit OS on it, they'll have to deal with complaints from customers when they can't find drivers for their hardware, or can't run some legacy program or game they have. |

2010-01-13 07:37:00 | Similar deal for me, only 2Gb of ram, but a 64 bit, dual core CPU. 32 bits are just sitting there, going to waste! Why, oh god WHY?!

2010-01-13 08:00:00 | Going by the title of the thread-- Its nothing to do with the toaster shops -- its the manufactures, like HP, Dell etc, the Toaster shops will sell what ever they are supplied with. | wainuitech (129) | |
2010-01-13 08:06:00 | And people will buy from these shops without knowing. | Sweep (90) | |

2010-01-13 08:23:00 | To rip you off what else. And to make it worse they fill it with their own crap. Thats why its got 4 GB in it. It'll be too slow to get into windows otherwise | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-01-13 08:32:00 | They do get carried away with how much **** they bundle with new pcs, it would be a lot better if it was just the OS, which is the only worth while piece of software on it. | radium (8645) | |
