849953 2010-01-19 08:07:00 And the counts are in for the first 2000 reply posts in that thread (forums.pcworld.co.nz) (up to and including Jen's "Magic # 2000"). Although strangely, there appear to be 2239 records in the list...!!!!!

The people with the most time on their hands are near the top of the list (sadly, I'm in the top ten!), with KarameaDave the outright winner (??) with 312 posts, 136 posts ahead of the next biggest timewaster (you can tell he's still on school holidays, with no trains to spot), pcuserwinvista, with R2x1 closely contesting the third spot with Jamuz, and prefect not far behind:

The numbers were reasonably easy to get: changed the Display Mode to "Threaded", select all, copy, paste into Excel, fiddle about a bit, save as CSV, import into a new database in Access and run a relatively simple query (could have done something similar in Excel, but would have wasted a bit of time :p)

To get the actual words would be a labour of love - and I'm not feeling that attracted to the task at the moment.... 		johcar (6283)
