If this legislation was in place 10 years ago numerous innocent people would still be alive Your "oh no, The rapists and murders will revolt, and misbehave if society doesn't tolerate them" filth doesn't stack up against the real world facts. |

| 850441 | 2010-01-23 05:47:00 | The Western world is currently stuck in a liberal phase, where we all have to respect the human rights of everyone, including those that behave like animals and butcher other people... showing no respect for the rights of others. Until the world shifts, sadly, we'll be unable to reduce the degree to which we pander to the worst of our worst. If we could get away with it internationally/politically, we could easily construct prisons for the worst of the worst where the inmates NEVER have a chance to make physical contact with each other, or with the guards (no more violence against others, no danger to others). Their cells can be opened remotely, one at a time to enable limited periods of exercise, to collect their food, and return to lock-up. Their obedience or otherwise can be monitored by camera. Anyone who fails to cooperate misses a meal, or if out of their cell, can be put under the gaze of a high volume hose that is also remotely controled, and is capable of practically washing them back into their cell... or at least defeating their defiant spirit so that they eventually return. Those that trash their cell have to live with the trashed remains. If they smash the loo, then they have to keep trying to do their business over a smashed loo. If a loo is too much luxury, then they can have a bucket. If they shred their mattress, then there's the floor. If they don't remove their filth, they live in their filth. In short, if they chose to behave like animals, they will live like animals. If they chose to be tidy and cooperative, thay can experience some peace and comfort. Conjugal visits should not exist. |

No but seriously I think the 3 strikes rule is a good one. And Life for all murders - no parole. As for drunk drivers, they don't listen to our namby pamby (I loved the Thin Blue Line) judges who say "You have been very naughty I am going to disqualify you from driving for 6 months) when they already had been ! There must be a quick hard jail sentence with hard labour to make them never want to do it again. Also put their pictures in the paper every few months or so, so we can dob them in and make sure they don't ever drive. |
