| 849750 | 2010-02-15 21:36:00 | Yes this sort of thing makes me mad I have an HP2605 Colour LJ that works fine but, when it reaches 1500 pages printed on any of the 4 cartridges. it just stops with a "replace xxx Cartridge" Being the perverse type I have gutted one of the supposedly empty cartridges and there is still approximately 20% by volume of toner left. There would seem to be a counter chip in each cartridge that once it reaches that count. it won't go anymore. Frustrating in the least HH |

| 849751 | 2010-02-15 22:04:00 | I know they're not laser printers but that's why I like my Canon inkjets. They give you a low ink warning (probably based on page count) but keep printing anyway. When pages start printing out with light streaks, I know it's time to get another 3rd party refill. |
