1131218 2010-08-24 07:21:00 I don't care either way. The hardware is damn nice, and you pay a premium for it, but the 8 hour battery life is closer to realistic than any other netbook (3 hours) I've seen.

Still, the OS has some weird inconsistencies compared with windows. Things like resizing a window from any corner, full-screening, finder has some flaws to say the least ... She mentions Mac OSX was made for Hotkeys, well you press Enter to go into a folder that you've selected (Logical, right?) and it goes to rename the folder!!! Retarded much? Instead you have to press Command + O to "Open" it.... :p

1131219 2010-08-24 07:27:00 My Mac is better (not)

A) I have no BSOD... instead I have a spinning coloured wheel of death (SCWOD) Believe me. when that thing starts, you're gonna be there a while.

B) There is no "i" in Mac

C) I am really a notebook in disguise

E) The alphabet can be anyway I want it to be

D) I Can't understand Cyrillic, I have a terminal that has impossible to work out commands and a fancy scrolly thing that is NOT a task/super/uber bar

Who, in all honesty wants to read the 32 reasons? And, does Microsoft even care? Each to his/her own I say! Mac is Mac and MS Windows is MS Windows. Have a love/hate relationship with both, they are all PC (personal computers). Which came first, the Apple or the dumpling?

1131221 2010-08-24 08:06:00 Well .. PCs do sell more quantities than Mac. But then again those are not custom built PCs, they are supermarket PCs.

But in terms of the avg Joe and Jane out there, they don't need the best performance, the best buck, the most elaborate modifiable system. They just need simplicity and that it does the job and looks v enticing.

Some people may say it's silly but there are many luxury brands of stuff that does v well which are v basic items, think food, drinks or clothing.

1131222 2010-08-24 08:36:00 ...I have a terminal that has impossible to work out commands...It's just bash, and most of the common unix utilities are there (although depending on which version of OSX you have, a few of them have been renamed). Where are you running into problems? Erayd (23)
1131223 2010-08-24 08:50:00 Years ago I used to sell PC's and was very annoyed with schools going for Mac, as I used to tell them that when their students went home there would be a PC there or if they got a job they would be using a PC, unless they were a graphic designer.

(But Macs do look cool and they have very small keyboards)

Windows etc has problems, but they are always solveable.

The problem is me hardly using an apple. only for seeing how long I can screw with it before it tells me to jog on and dies.

I thought it would be more logical to just double click on the selected folder to open it.
Or right click on it (Control click) to get the options
